Fort Worth is set to be a guest to host Amazon’s latest hub for air delivery. The company is
expected to launch its Regional Air Hub at the Fort Worth Alliance Airport in October. The
opening of the same will create 300 full-time jobs in the delivery sector across North Texas, as
reported by Amazon. The center is meant to support Amazon Air, which is the company's fleet
of planes that make swift deliveries.

In the release, it was stated that the Regional Air Hub is the first build-to-suit airport project of
its kind in the Amazon Air network. The hub is built in such a way that it will support large-scale
regional needs, for instance, the infrastructure to support multiple flights daily and also be able to
sort through large numbers of packages. According to the Amazon Global Air Vice President
Sarah Rhoads, the launch will allow for faster deliveries and create lots of full-time job
opportunities to the local community.

On September 17 th , there will be a career day in Dallas, and those interested to learn about any of
the jobs at the hub will be welcomed. Other Amazon career days will occur concurrently in
Chicago, Boston, Nashville, Seattle, and Arlington. Plans concerning the center were brought to
light back in 2018. According to the Mayor, Betsy Price, the move is a win for both Fort Worth
and the City at large.
