Amidst all the challenges being faced during the coronavirus crisis period, not all hope is lost, as some truck stop chains have tried to remain in service, to offer all essential services for truckers while in transit. They are offering the services considering all possible precautions to help keep themselves and the truck drivers safe, even though the services have reduced immensely. The Customized Logistics and Delivery Association have not been left behind since they have been offering the so much needed advice on how to provide the services while at the same time minding utmost safety. The measures include spraying of the passenger area of the trucks with disinfectants both at the beginning and the end of the day.

Some of the nation’s truck stop chains in operation include; Pilot Flying J, TA and Petro Stopping Centers, Love's, and Iowa 80. At Pilot Flying J, hot foods are prepackaged, and there is access to the showers with plenty of fuel. The only closed places are the dining sections. TA and Petro Stopping Centers have kept the fuel section and showers accessible while also shutting down the dining section, the drivers’ lounges, and fitness sections. At Love's, only the team members do the serving of their products. Love's claim that they have implemented better and regular cleaning with all locations open but food being served only between 6 am and 10 pm. The Iowa 80 are available 24 hours a day and have also put in place regular cleaning and sanitizing routines, especially public areas that have high contact chances. They have also implemented a pickup mode where the customer stays in their car, and their order is served as quickly as possible.
