Love's announced their plan to update 200 locations in the next five years. Love’s has been around since 1964. There are more than 600 locations in 42 states. They provide truckers and motorists with a clean and safe place to refuel, eat, freshen up, and rest. They have been around for years, providing a very important service to truckers. According to Truckernews.com, they have big plans to make their services even better.
Plans for the Future
Love’s Travel Stops has quite a big plan for the future. There is a strategic plan to remodel. There is more than $1 billion set aside for this project. It will cover 200 locations over the next five years. Between $2 million and $7 million will be used per location. These locations are very important to the customers. Therefore, there must be a plan to continue serving them. The stops will remain open through the entire process.
The New Look
Upon completion, these locations will have a new look. They will also have an open concept. They will provide customers with more restaurant options. Dog parks will be added to locations without one. This will depend on if space will be available. Love's plan is to make these locations more welcoming to their customers. They will be more fun and, at the same time, offer efficient services.
Strategic Approach
Randy Swain, who is in charge of this project, said the plan is to make these stops first-class. They want to offer their customers the best. He added that they must be smart with how they handle the project. There is need for a strategic approach. They will keep the locations open during the process. In doing so, they will still offer services, attract customers, and improve the services.
There will be strategies for picking which stops to remodel. They will select based on the traffic of the stop, the age, and the sales the stop makes. A few of the stores require more attention. These three will be completely torn down. Then they will construct them afresh from scratch. They will, therefore, be out of service until the new look is in place. Love’s locations in Oklahoma City and Gary, Indiana, already have a new look. They were part of Love’s rebuild process.
