Mack Trucks will continue offering its support by sponsoring two ATA programs. ATA will continue its sponsorship of both the Share the Road and Workforce Heroes programs spearheaded by ATA. Safety on the road is very crucial. Mack Trucks will help educate truckers on road safety. In addition, it will support the Workforce Heroes program for the third year in a row.
The Share the Road Program
Mack Trucks has supported this program for twenty-one years now and still counting. The program focuses on educating motorists on road safety. Jonathan Randall, Mack Trucks SVP of sales and commercial operations, stated that Mack was proud to educate the motorists. In addition, the program will help the general public know how to drive safely around heavy-duty trucks.
Mack donated two Mack Anthem 70-inch Stand-Up sleeper models equipped with safety technologies. The technologies include an electronic stability control system that would help prevent them from rolling over. The models also have a camera- and radar-based system to help avoid collisions. Mack Trucks sponsorship by providing the Anthem models will allow road users to learn to be safe on the road.
The professional drivers that participate in the program have lots of experience on the road, free of accidents. Passing down the knowledge to other road users is very important in the campaign to make the roads safe. The program will enlighten road users on stopping distances and blind spots.
The Workforce Heroes program
ATA has also invested in the program that works to recruit veterans into trucking careers. Mack also provided a truck in support of this program. The truck visits military bases, schools, and career fairs. As a result, the program has made some progress. They have conducted 45 programs since October 2020, reaching out to 950 people.
Mack Trucks' support for the two programs shows its interest in fostering safety on the road for all road users. It also shows that there still are opportunities in the trucking industry. The act by Mack Trucks will keep the roads safe and give a chance to retired veterans to venture into the trucking career.
